This laptop is a great item for light duty use. The Celeron processor limits its power, but it is still quite capable. It’s perfectly feasible to use this to run office applications or to handle most software required for high school or college. It also works well for browsing social media. It would not be useful for modern graphics-intensive gaming.The laptop has two USB 3 ports (one on each side), which means you can add an external keyboard and mouse if you wanted. It also has a mini-HDMI port on the left side, so you can add a second monitor, but you will need to buy the appropriate cable or adapter. It also has a single USB-C port on the left, along with the power connector. On the right, there is a standard headphone jack, and a slot for an SD card. The screen has a front-facing camera, so you can use the laptop for video conferencing. The laptop has a chiclet-style keyboard, which works pretty well, and a nice-sized track pad which was surprisingly responsive and accurate. The keyboard layout was pretty much standard. The box also contained a silicone keyboard overlay that was for Spanish language use. The keyboard is not backlit, so using it in dark areas requires some additional light.There are a lot of things to like about this laptop. While not speedy, the windows installation seemed bloat-free. There were no extra programs pre-installed. It appears to be a clean install of Windows 11 Pro. I did need to update the windows install with the latest security updates once I had it connected to the network. The screen has a resolution of 1920 x 1080, which is decent for a 14 screen. The screen brightness is good, and it can be reduced to increase battery life. There is no LAN port, but a USB-LAN adapter could be used. WiFi connectivity was good, and it held a connection at a good distance from my router. Battery life was better than I expected. It probably runs for about 4-5 hours with typical use with the screen at 3/4 brightness. One minor nitpick I had was that the charger cord is a bit short. It’s only about three feet long, so most of the time you will want to use it unplugged from the wall.I got this to use for remote access to a couple of PCs that run my astrophotography gear. It works very well for that. My only wish is that the keyboard was backlit. I’ve also found myself using it for general web surfing, since it is very light and portable, and doesn’t get super hot like my other laptop can. I also run some standard word-processing and spreadsheet applications.All in all, it’s a nice laptop for general use, and light enough to make it ideal for portable use.
