So here is my honest feedback:Shell:The PC is very light, but durable. It feels like it's built well. The brushed metal is nice to reduce fingerprinting, and the color is clean/professional. The keyboard is not easy to type on, but I think that's a problem with all laptops. Overall I think it's a nice clean design and I like it.Performance:This PC is cheap in the hardware area, but it's also cheap in the $$ area, which is always correlated. You get what you pay for. Overall, I think this PC is good enough for every day tasks - email, web browsing, YouTube, etc. It's definitively not a gaming PC, but it's a fantastic budget PC. I wanted it for stock trading and YouTube, it works very well for both.Issues:1) The laptop comes pre-bloated with a lot of bloatware (antiviruses, etc). It's not a clean windows install. I HATE this. It's already hardware gimped from the get-go, and now it's also software gimped from all the bloatware. My solution was to install linux, but that didn't end well either (see #2).2) If you plan to run linux on this laptop, DO NOT GET IT. I have tried every major distro - fedora, suse, debian, ubuntu, and a few others. Linux runs perfectly fine on the laptop, but the laptop's wifi hardware (rtl8821ce) is NOT supported by any linux distro. The ONLY supporting driver was built for arch linux, but it's no longer supported by the author and has been deprecated.All in all, this is a great laptop and I would highly recommend it. Also, the seller is fantastic. If you want to run Windows, this laptop is perfect for the average budget user, although I would recommend reinstalling Windows to remove the bloat.That being said, this laptop is NOT a good option for me, because I want to run Linux and it's hardware is not supported. There was no way of knowing this prior to my purchase because the rtl8821ce hardware was not listed in the description, and I have never really had hardware issues in the past. Generally speaking, RealTek is usually a pain on linux. I am purchasing a usb wifi stick as a solution to the driver issue, but if that doesn't work I will need to return the laptop, unfortunately.Hope this helps some future buyers! :)I'm giving it 3 stars because I have nothing but issues with it. The mouse pad on the laptop does not always work. The pages keep zooming in and out all by itself. One minute I'm look at a page that is 100 % next thing I know it is larger or smaller. I have to constantly change it which is very annoying. Also, once you turn the computer off the internet goes off to. So I am always having to re do the internet. (Comcast WiFi). Other thing is the battery. This is a new computer but the battery is slowly dying everyday. It does not charge to 100%. Everyday is goes lower and lower. For $400 something dollars, I expected a lot more that what it is. I would have returned it but I needed it for school.I would not recommend this to anyone.Not a powerhouse but great for someone who uses it mainly for email, browsing the web and online shopping. Like that it comes with a SSD but it's only 128 gig. Bought this for my wife who only uses it for the above listed aps. This is more than adequate for her needs. The touch pad is terrible, pointer is difficult to control, if you try to right or left click you never know what happens next. I tried setting it up using the touch pad, gave up and connected a wireless mouse. That worked very well. Recommend investing in a cordless mouse.For the price I was expecting a better camera quality. Maybe I never read those specs properly.Bought this computer for my wife and am quiet satisfied with it. Only complaint is there is no CD/DVD drive. Setup was smooth and it was up and running in a few minutes. This is my first Lenovo but reviews on this laptop were generally favorable so I decided to give it a try. if I experience problems I will let you know.I have bought two budget laptops before and was left disappointed. Put a little extra in this time for my Wife's work laptop and have blown away with the performance. Granted she's not rendering video games, but just being able to manage multiple tabs, softwares and stream in HD with ease has been great. The ports are useful as well with bluetooth, usb-c and minSD port for all our needs.Super easy set up! I only need it for basic office work and so my daughters can type papers. It was set up and ready to go in 20min. I downloaded Microsoft Office with no problemsOverall decent laptop for the price.. Functionality is sound..Only fault I would point out is the less than adequate display. I would just expect laptops in 2019 to have decent displays across the board. Regardless of how much I adjust the settings it just has a very washed out display image which worsens at any slight degree of angle viewing.
